Leave Those Blemishes Alone
Resist the urge!!! Skin that is broken out from a blemish is already infected with bacteria. If you pick, you will only invite more bacteria into the area leading to possible infections or scarring. Use products containing salicylic acid and and beta hydroxy to not only heal the blemish but help prevent future breakouts while aloe will help alleviate irritation.
Natural facial cleansers such as the Sweet Orange & Hemp Oil Facial Cleanser contains natural ingredients that can help to prevent and heal blemishes. The peel in the sweet orange is known to be a natural exfoliator while both the oil and the peel are used to stimulate circulation and clear blemishes. Another wonderful natural ingredient is White Willow. White Willow is a natural form of salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid widely used as an exfoliant which helps to to keep pores clean of debris.
Keeping skin clear of debris helps to reduce breakouts and therefore reducing that urge to pick.

SPF30 Broad Spectrum Sun Protector Review
Thank you to Amanda who bought and tried Bonita Botanicals SPF30 Broad Spectrum Sun Protector and loved it so much she felt compelled to write the following review on Bonita Botanical.com
by Amanda Neovo Date Added: Tuesday 26 May, 2009
I purchased this product and used it for the very first time this weekend. I had several cookouts and was in the sun quite a bit. I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved this product. I applied it prior to leaving my house, but forgot to bring it with me. I was amazed at how well it protected my skin and without re-applying. When I got home, I had some color, but was not burnt and skin was not dry. I recommend this product highly. I also used it on my seven year old son. Again, amazing.
Thank you.
Amanda

Acai Berry... Anitoxidant That is an Ounce of Prevention
Hello,
Today I would like to talk to you about the acai berry drink ... an elixir of life!! Most everyone has heard of the old saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound in cure." The acai berry is full of antioxidants which has been studied and showing many health benefits.
What do antioxidants do? They prevent the oxidation at the cellular level preventing free radicals from forming and damaging cells. Antioxidant levels are measured by what is called the ORAC value or the Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity.
The USDA Human Nutrition Center at Tufts University has suggested that the daily ORAC intake from food is approximately 5000. How are you getting your antixoidants?

The Why Has To Be Big Enough
I am writing today to any and all new women entrepreneurs out there. If you read my previous blog, you will see what a hard time I just went through. That wasn't the first time I came across obstacles while trying to set my business up. However, this last time, I almost threw in the towel. The past couple weeks it was like daggers were being thrown at me and I had to dodge them. It wasn't that easy in the beginning either. I work a full time corporate job. Everything has to be done early mornings or evenings. I am relying on my own resources and before my sister became part of my business I did everything myself. There were times I just said to myself why? The economy, money etc. etc...it is so hard! WHY am I doing this!!
However, there is one important question that I just mentioned that I would ask myself when I was feeling down and felt like giving up. I would ask myself "WHY am I doing this?" If your "why" is big enough, then "your why is enough" to help you through any tough time and give you the power to keep on going.
So, whenever I feel like giving up I just think of my whys...My why is that I want to be my own person and not answer to anyone else. My why is that I want to see my dad not have to worry about money anymore and be able to travel back to his home country of the Philippines without worrying about how he can afford it. My why is that every time one of my sisters is hurting I can help them. My why is wanting to help children such as my nephew Rex who was adopted from the Philippines have a better life...
So, to all you new women entrepreneurs out there or anyone for that matter, next time you are feeling down or feel like giving up... just remember your why...

Website Hackers Are One Of The Lowest Forms of Life
I was debating whether or not to post this on this blog... which is mostly regarding my business, or should I post it on my personal blog ... bonitais.blogspot.com. Well, I decided I would post this on both of them. I'll copy and paste. It affected both my business and me personally so I guess it is o.k. Anyway, I am new at this. New at SEO, new at a business, new at blogging, new to Twitter, just new. Trying to get my skin care business Bonita Botanicals up and running and successful.
I study and buy all sorts of home study courses on how to optimize my website. So I set up a few Wordpress blogs through Wordpress Direct. Content is automatically updated regarding my topics such as skincare, fitness and health. Then I would post my own posts. O.k... maybe that was cheating but so many people do it! Well, little did I know, if you don't keep up with current versions it makes for an extremely vulnerable situation. I used my own hosting account so it was all tied in with my website. I had no idea... didn't even think of how it all ties in together.
So one day, I get an email.... my website was suspended. Shut down... some low life hacker used my website to send phishing emails out. I fixed it or so I thought, but then it happens again!! In talking with my hosting company, they told me how Wordpress in itself can be vulnerable to hackers and I had different blogs going at once. Not that Wordpress is a bad thing. So many people use it as e-commerce websites but I guess I just was unlucky!
But that's not all that happened. I deleted the blogs and started deleting all the files in my FTP account. Stupid me wasn't wearing my glasses... hit a wrong button and deleted ALL the files in my account! Now... my website is completely GONE!!
It's all better now. Thank God for back ups but I just want to say one thing about this whole experience which really had me on the verge of a breakdown. I am a new company. I don't have all kinds of money to rebuild a website and hire all these people to do this and that. I am trying really hard... overcoming all sorts of obstacles which of course are par for the course yet I refuse to give up! So, whoever hacked my website twice... you are one of the lowest forms of a human being that lived. But guess what... I survived. And so does everyone else you try to harm. Do you have nothing better to do than to try and hurt other people's hard work and scam innocent people? Do you not have a brain of your own so that you can go out and make a honest living?
Sorry... just had to get that off my chest. I guess I could blame myself for this. I guess I should have known ... wait ... I am not blaming myself ... website hackers are horrible human beings! Anyway, I set up new blogs on blogspot here. So... I had to start over again... no matter... like I said I NEVER give up.

Antioxidants...Good for slowing the aging process!
I just read this great article about how antioxidants can slow down aging. It goes on to state how good genes sometimes are just not enough. We all have busy lives and sometimes it can get really hectic out there, but stress in itself can be a major factor in how fast we age. However, antioxidants boost our immune system and occur naturally in food and some researchers believe that the vitamin like compounds in antioxidants are enough to help slow down the aging process.
Some important antioxidants are found in the following foods like berries, citrus, whole grains, beans and legumes, olive oil and green tea. These items are easy to find and can be added to your grocery list without a hassle.
So, eat or drink your antioxidants and help slow down aging!
