My Mother Always Said Clean Your Face

As I am getting ready to launch the new website for Bonita Botanicals, I was thinking of other things I could refresh, so, I started reading my philosophy behind my skin care. As I read it, I realized that the idea to add natural skin care to complete my desire to help people feel good about themselves started much earlier than 20 years ago when I entered the health and fitness field.

I asked myself "why natural skin care". I especially love empowering women through the anti-aging process so I could have gone the other way. There are so many different types of skin care out there so why natural? Because that is what my mother used on me and my sisters growing up. We were an extremely poor family. She couldn't afford lotions and moisturizers for herself, never mind four kids. So I remember her washing her face with the juice from real lemons and oranges. She moisturized with olive oil! And of course she used it on us kids. My dad used to give us baths with sea salt!! Talk about exfoliation! My mother had the most beautiful skin up until the day she died. My sisters' and I have always been complimented on our skin as well. So that is why I was naturally drawn to the natural side of skin care.

I also want to help others make their skin look great as well. So all my life, and my sister Anita does the same, my Mom's advice for great skin was to keep it clean and keep it moist. How simple is that??

This Is The Only Moisturizer That Doesn't Make Me Break Out!

I recently got an email from a young man whose mother bought my products a couple months ago. She bought the Perfecting Vitamin C Antioxidant Moisturizer Cell Renewing Fruit & Glycolic Facial Cleanser two of the more popular anti-aging products. Because she subscribed to my newsletter, I threw in a couple samples of the Smoothing Mango Butter Moisture Cream with her order.

Bonita Botanicals is starting a men's skin care line but I wasn't expecting to hear testimonies prior to launching them. I received an email from my customer's son asking me how long it would take to get a jar of this moisturizer. He said "it is the only moisturizer that doesn't make me break out". Could it be the mango butter, shea butter & vitamin E with excellent healing properties and their ability to regenerate and renew cells?
