BonitaBotanicals.com Will Be Down For a Couple of Weeks
To my faithful customers. I am sorry to say that Bonita Botanicals website is in a reconstruction phase. It appears that someone tried to send phishing emails from my website and to ensure the safety of the website it is best that I rebuild it. The folks at Trust Guard believe it may have been an inside job. I have my suspicions! Do not worry, I do not store any credit card information on my site so there was no information that could have been compromised.
I apologize for any inconvenience. If you would like to check out Bonita Botanicals on Facebook, go to Bonita Botanicals Face Book Page.
Thanks again for your understanding!!

The Importance of Skin Care From the Inside Out
Billions of dollars are spent yearly on skin care products that will promise to eliminate wrinkles, relieve dryness, redness, and acne just to name a few. Currently, the baby boomer generation is obsessed with their quest to maintain a youthful appearance and have no problem spending the money to do it by paying for procedures such as botox, fillers, laser treatments etc. It is clear that prevention whether it be for cosmetic or health reasons are of huge public interest.
Whether health or cosmetic purposes, skin needs to be taken care of to prevent pre-mature aging or unhealthy skin conditions. The skin is the largest organ on our body and is the first line of defense against the environment. The outermost layer of the skin is called the epidermis and the deep layer of the skin is called the dermis. The dermis is where the blood vessels and connecting tissues such as collagen and elastin are located. Collagen and elastin are responsible for the strength and elasticity of the skin.
It is in the dermis where new cells originate. These new cells migrate to the surface of the skin and slough off. This process takes about 40 days to complete each time. The cells will come to the surface healthy and radiant in individuals that eat proper and sun protect their skin. However, new cells in those whose nutrition lack in antioxidants and essential nutrients come to the surface damaged. This is illustrated by wrinkles and lack of luster and brightness.
Although putting high quality natural products on your face to help cleanse, moisturize, and exfoliate is extremely important, it is clear that taking care of your skin from the inside out is just as important with proper nutrition. Are your new skin cells dull or radiant?
