There is a fine line between erasing lines and wrinkles and making them less visible. Lines and wrinkles come from years of smiling, squinting, sun exposure and simple aging of the skin.
As we age the collagen and elasticity in our skin begins to break down. Simple facial expressions throughout the years are also a contributor but what can you do? Botox your entire face or become emotionless? I don’t think that’s a practical answer to an on-going problem.
The real problem here is that we all want everything Now! There are real solutions that don’t include a needle, scalpel or doctor’s office.
There are a few measures you can take to prevent lines and wrinkles but nothing short of an evasive surgical procedure will erase them. Minimize and make less visible is a definite.
Practical measures to take:
• Wear Sun screen every day
• Wear Sun Glasses that wrap around to protect the entire eye area
• Limit your sun exposure since it breaks down the collagen and weakens the skin
• Use topical creams that have potent antioxidants and moisture-rich ingredients to keep the skin hydrated. You’ll also want to use creams and gels that fight off free-radicals and contain peptides that will reduce the depth of the lines and wrinkles.
The simplest solution to decreasing the signs of lines and wrinkles is hydration and sunscreen. As we age skin becomes thinner and more susceptible to damage. There are plenty of hydrating mask, moisturizers and creams to build up the skins thickness.
The uses of natural products work double duty to prevent premature aging. Look for ingredients that nourish the skin while protecting it. Many conventional products on the market today claim to use natural organic ingredients while at the same time infuse chemicals into the products. How can you help and hinder the aging process and then claim it’s natural and organic?
Always compare and educate before believing the marketing hype.
